Hello. Welcome to my campaign website.

When I ran for office four years ago I ran on a platform of SafetyProsperity and Unity.

How have I done? This election will give you the opportunity to be the judge.

Within the pages of this website I hope to articulate the case for my re-election. I welcome your careful scrutiny of the facts and your input.

As you do this, I ask that you keep several things in mind.

First, serving as your Mayor has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. I have enjoyed it top to bottom, inside to outside, early to late, good and not so good.

Second, the accomplishments I share are the result of the efforts of many. Former administrations, the City Council, amazing city employees and residents can all take credit for what we have accomplished. By highlighting them it no doubt will appear that I am taking credit for the work of others. Let me assure you, I do not pretend to do so.

Third, I’m not perfect and a campaign season promises to expose all of my weaknesses. My wife, Sue, has always smiled and explained that marriage is a package deal. You get the good and the bad. Running for office and serving as a public official is similar. I sincerely hope the good outshines any bad.

Finally, I think the best is yet to come.

Provo and our broader community have been put on the map nationally in the last four years. We are recognized as one of the best places in America to raise a family, work and play. And yet, from my view it is just the beginning for us.
